Who's looking after your family
I'm Vincent Cloutier, an emergency preparedness consultant based in the Eastern Townships, in the Sherbrooke area. A handyman by trade, I have spent years maintaining and repairing the homes of families who hand me their keys — the kind of trust you don't ask for, you earn.
I have been preparing my own family for more than fifteen years. This isn't a specialty I picked on paper: it's a practice I have been refining for fifteen winters, with all the trials, mistakes and adjustments that involves. What I recommend to you today, I tested at home first — often for years.
My trade has given me a rare kind of expertise: understanding a home as a whole. Water, energy, the building itself, food, communication — I spend my days solving concrete problems in every one of those areas. Off-grid power generation, long-term food preservation, water purification, building out storage space, backup communication solutions: what I recommend, I have tested and use myself, at home, all year round. That range is what allows one person to handle your preparedness from start to finish — rather than five specialists who never talk to each other.

A discreet service, on principle
I never disclose the identity of my clients, nor the contents or layout of their homes. Every engagement is covered by a signed confidentiality agreement, consistent with Quebec's personal information protection legislation. References are provided privately, on request only. This is an absolute rule — and often the reason people choose me.

How does a video consultation work?
You walk around your home, phone in hand, camera on — and I guide you room by room. I assess your reserves, your equipment and your installations live, exactly as if I were there. You then receive your prioritized report and your personalized shopping list. Teams, FaceTime or Zoom: your choice.
How is the price of the in-home service set?
Since every home and every household is different, I give you a firm quote after the free assessment — so you know exactly where you stand before committing. It covers equipment, travel, installation and documentation: no surprise add-ons. A deposit confirms the booking; the balance is due when the file is handed over.
Do you do electrical or gas work?
No — that work is reserved by law for licensed contractors (RBQ/CMEQ). If the assessment shows a need for it, I refer you to trusted professionals and coordinate the work as needed.
I'm not in the Eastern Townships — can you still help me?
Absolutely: the Video Consultation and the Video Coaching are available anywhere in Quebec — from Montreal to Quebec City, from the Montérégie to the Saguenay. The turnkey in-home service covers Sherbrooke, the whole Eastern Townships region and the surrounding area.
What if my situation is unusual (a cottage, seniors, pets, babies)?
